Raewyn: Green Family
I would like any info on my Gt Grandparents Isaac & Sarah Green who came from Australia in 1903 settled in Rahu Rd Karangahake. Isaac Green worked in the mines but I am not sure which one, either the Ohinemuri Coal mine or the Karangahake Gold Mine.
Their four children were enrolled at Karangahake school on 12/10/1903 so I think that's probably not long after they arrived in NZ. It gives their names and ages as Arnold b 16/06/1895. Bertie b 28/06/1893. Ivy b 17/12/1889. Sylvesta b 26/08/1891.

judith Ford: Tironui, Papakura
Hi, I would like to contact Dorothy Bagnall who wrote an account of her family's life at Ohinemuri. She mentioned the family later moved to a farmlet at Tironui, near Papakura. I am writing a small publication about Tironui as I grew up there and am very interested to hear more, especially as Tironui was such a small place. Could someone please let Dorothy know?

Guest: Pioneer Pennell Family history
I am looking for any research and information on the Pennell family. Am looking for copies of the Pennell Family book too.
I am also wanting contact details and whereabouts for a COLLEEN SULLIVAN to trace the Ancestors and descendants of the Pennell Family, some of whom came to Ohinemuri before the turn of the Century. As stated by her in journal 47 on the 21st June 1977.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ella Smyth: Looking for more information
My Great great grandfather was William Mcvey Trevarthen. I have recently found that he played rugby for Ohinemuri in his early years and have not been able to find anything beyond that. I'd be interested if anyone had any further information.
I also discovered that his father was Thomas Trevarthen and his mother was Margaret Elizabeth. Possibly from Devonport.
Thanks in advance
Ella Smyth. (Ella_smyth@yahoo.com)
