Old Fire Bell in new setting. On day of E. Moore's funeral service a wreath obscured the inscription:

Paeroa Volunteer Fire Bridge founded October 23rd, 1895. This bell first erected in 1896 and first tolled for a fire on July 1st, 1896. Erected on this site April 20th, 1968
