DOUG GOLDING’S DOLL FACTORY

The photograph published below is of the ladies who worked at Doug Golding’s doll factory in Wharf Street, Paeroa. The factory was in the old ex-Civic Picture Theatre, which burnt down in 1948 or 1949.

The dolls had cloth bodies and china faces, with red hair.
