Welcome to this Journal

The challenge when delivering the journals to you this way is to honour the journals as historic documents, and yet update or correct spelling, and update or correct factual information (from today's perspective). This modern editorial input will be distinguished from the original text by bold in square brackets.

The headings of the articles remain as they were in the journal, but may have been rearranged in the table of contents on the left, to make the table of contents more useful.

The search page will search through the whole site. A list of keywords may have been added to articles to aid finding relevant articles via the search page.

A link to all the images found in this journal can be found at the bottom of the contents list on left.
